Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley praised the defensive ability of Jonathan Isaac after last night’s 104-92 preseason home loss vs. the New Orleans Pelicans (3 blocks).

Reporter: “What did you make of Jonathan’s defensive effort tonight, and is he limited in minutes at all as he continues to work back?”

Mosley: “I think we’re going to continue to monitor watching him as games go in and out, but his defensive effort is something that we’ve known he’s capable of doing. He’s one of the best defenders I’ve ever been around. His IQ on the defensive end is just something special. He’s covering up for guys, he’s communicating. Obviously he walked away with 3 blocked shots in basically ten minutes, that’s a very good defensive effort, and then the plays where he altered shots. I think those things are big keys that our guys continue to recognize how valuable he is.”
