As the deadline of October 23 looms closer, Derrick White’s contract extension discussions with the Boston Celtics continue to unfold, writes Adam Himmelsbach of Boston Globe.

The 29-year-old point guard, who currently has two years left on his four-year, $70 million deal originally signed with the San Antonio Spurs, is in the process of potentially solidifying his future with the Celtics.

During the previous season, White averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 28.3 minutes per game.
