Charlotte Hornets’ second overall pick, Brandon Miller, showcased his potential in his preseason debut against the Miami Heat, earning praise from head coach Steve Clifford.

Miller contributed 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 turnovers during his 22 minutes on the court, displaying notable confidence.

“He played with a lot of confidence,” Steve Clifford said about Miller’s debut, per James Plowright. “Obviously, he knows you can’t have 4 turnovers in 20 minutes. But what I liked was maybe being too aggressive, which is maybe what you want playing in their first game. But defensively he was very good.”

In his second preseason appearance against the Washington Wizards, Miller continued to impress with 9 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 turnovers in 26 minutes of play.
