Former Philadelphia 76ers head coach and current ESPN, ABC game analyst, Doc Rivers, recently opened up about his relationship with James Harden during their time in Philadelphia.
Rivers characterized their relationship as “neutral,” emphasizing the importance of honest communication.
“It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t good, it was pretty much neutral,” he said. “It’s an honest relationship at the end of the day. I was very honest, I literally believed there’s ways you have to play to win, and obviously, I was never really willing to compromise on that and never will be.
“It was a relationship of communication. I can tell you we talked when we needed to talk every time. So in that part of it, it was pretty good.”
