The Philadelphia 76ers experienced a turbulent offseason marked by James Harden’s trade request to the Clippers.

The former league MVP publicly criticized Sixers general manager Daryl Morey, accusing him of being ‘a liar’ and vowing never to play for a team led by him.

Harden’s frustrations stemmed from an alleged unfulfilled extension promise made by Morey, which led him to opt into his player option and seek a trade.

Former Sixers owner Michael Rubin expressed his dismay over the situation. “It wouldn’t have happened… This thing is breaking my heart. This thing was just not handled well… The guy’s work ethic for basketball is insane,” he said on the Pat Bev Pod, via ClutchPoints.
