Kevin Love, the former No. 5 overall pick and NBA champion, is gearing up for a new season with the Miami Heat, and he’s making it clear that his role on the team is not his primary concern.

The 35-year-old forward, who joined the Heat after securing a buyout with the Cleveland Cavaliers last February, expressed his willingness to embrace any role that the team requires of him.

“I’m just happy to be wearing a jersey,” Love said, per Barry Jackson of Miami Herald. “In terms of being out there with Jimmy and Bam, I know how to best complement their games for sure. Whether it’s coming off the bench or starting, that stuff doesn’t matter to me.”

During the previous season, Love started in 17 out of 21 regular-season games for the Heat.
