This offseason, Tyler Herro’s name has been in the center of trade rumors, particularly concerning a potential trade with Damian Lillard, who had requested to be traded to the Miami Heat from the Portland Trail Blazers.

Reports suggested that Herro was included in the trade package offered by Miami to Portland, but the Trail Blazers did not express interest in the 23-year-old guard.

In a recent interview, Herro was asked about the nature of these trade rumors and how it feels to have his value constantly discussed, as if he were a commodity.

“It’s funny, but everyone has their opinion,” Herro told Couper Moorhead of nba.com. “The only people who truly know are those in the front offices making the trades and ultimately deciding the value of players.

“I feel like I’m pretty damn valuable. I don’t know. I feel like I’m valuable as hell. At the end of the day, I’m going to show that this season, and hopefully, by the end of the season, I’ll be in the same boat as Bam.”
