Following the blockbuster Damian Lillard trade that brought Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers, it appears that the point guard’s tenure in Portland may be brief, with multiple championship contenders expressing interest in acquiring his services.

The Celtics, who recently traded former Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart as part of the Kristaps Porzingis deal, are among the teams keenly interested in securing Holiday’s signature.

The addition of Holiday would significantly enhance their defensive capabilities in the guard position.

According to a Adam Himmelsbach, the Celtics are actively pursuing Holiday, although there still exists a notable gap in negotiations.
