Even though the original Kristaps Porzingis trade fell apart, the Celtics found another trade to get the Latvian forward whom they desired.
As reported by The Athletic, Boston acquired Porzingis in a three-team trade which also saw Marcus Smart go to the Grizzlies and Tyus Jones join the Wizards.
In addition to Porzingis, Boston also received 2023 and 2024 first-round picks. Washington also received Danilo Gallinari, Mike Muscala and 2023 second-round pick.
