In a stunning pre-training camp move, the Milwaukee Bucks orchestrated a three-team trade to acquire Damian Lillard, sending shockwaves throughout the NBA.
Lillard’s desire for a trade had been known for over two months, with the Miami Heat initially seen as the only destination for the superstar point guard.
Heat fans had high hopes of a Lillard-Butler partnership. However, with no significant progress on that front and the start of training camp looming, the Portland Trail Blazers made an unexpected decision to ship Lillard to the Bucks.
Butler, who had been linked to a potential collaboration with Lillard in Miami, couldn’t resist making a jab at the situation.
He took to Instagram, posting a video where he humorously suggested that the NBA should investigate the Bucks for tampering.
