The Raptors have entered the fray as potential suitors for Damian Lillard, who has expressed his desire to be traded, with the Heat being his preferred destination.

Amidst the deadlock in trade negotiations between the Trail Blazers and the Heat, the Raptors have emerged as contenders.

According to insights from Michael Grange of Sportsnet, there is a “reasonable” chance that the Raptors could secure a deal for Lillard.

“I think that [the chances] are reasonable,” he said on SiriusXM NBA Radio. “I think they’re in the market. The way it’s been explained to me is like they’re not halfway to a deal, they’re probably not 40% to a deal, but there is a framework there…

“From my understanding, Toronto— (A.) wants [Damian Lillard]… and (B.) thinks that they have the collection of assets that Portland is looking for… That’s why I think the Raptors believe they’re in the game at least.”
