During a recent roundtable discussion featuring NBA legends such as Dwyane Wade, Tony Parker, Pau Gasol, and Dirk Nowitzki, Wade reminisced about the surprising absence of trash talk from the Spurs when they faced the Heat in consecutive NBA Finals.
Parker, former Spurs point guard, revealed why there was little verbal jousting between the two teams. The Frenchman attributed it to the profound respect he and his teammates held for the Heat, especially stars like Wade and LeBron James.
“I had a lot of respect for you, a lot of respect for LeBron… I was trying to have that appropriate fear to play against you guys,” Parker revealed during the conversation.
