Ben Simmons, whose last season was plagued by injuries, is on track to make a return for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
According to Marc J. Spears, the 27-year-old point guard is progressing well in his recovery. “He’s probably at a point now where he’s supposed to be doing 3 on 3 He believes he’ll be able to be 100% by the time the season starts. I don’t know if he plays in the first couple of preseason games, but it’s a progression,” he said on Good Word with Goodwill podcast, per NetsDaily.
Simmons’ injury struggles during the previous season included knee issues and back problems that ultimately led to him being sidelined for a significant part of the year.
He posted career lows in several statistical categories – 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists in 26.3 minutes per game.
