In the first half, Greece initially outperformed Lithuania, securing an 8-point lead.

However, Lithuania made a strong comeback after halftime, maintaining their flawless record and securing a spot in the Quarter-Finals with a commanding 92-67 victory.

In addition, their 4-0 record, along with the United States, ensures that they cannot be surpassed by Greece and Montenegro, both of which have 2-2 records.

Although coach Kazys Maksvytis is known for his brevity, it’s likely that he shared his thoughts with the team during halftime.

As a result, the team emerged from the locker room with a completely different strategy, making long-distance shots and preventing Greece from approaching the basket.

This transformation was evident in the third quarter, where Lithuania outscored Greece 25-15, putting them in the lead.

When they limited Greece to just four points in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter, it became clear that the Mall of Asia Arena had turned into a “one-way street.”

The final quarter ended with Lithuania leading 28-9, and the second half saw Lithuania dominate with a score of 53-24.
