Despite some speculation that James Harden might reconsider his stance, it appears that the former league MVP is holding firm on his decision to bypass the Philadelphia 76ers’ training camp. This comes after the team failed to fulfill his trade request.

Report from Joe Vardon of The Athletic indicates that Harden remains resolute in his choice to sit out training camp. A source close to Harden, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, confirmed that there have been no changes in his plans since his mid-July trade request. As of now, he has no intentions of participating in the training camp.

While some NBA insiders had previously suggested that Harden might use the training camp to apply pressure to the Sixers, it appears that he is taking a different approach, making his intentions clear by staying away.

Harden’s decision is poised to have significant implications under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
