Former NBA MVP James Harden made headlines by publicly expressing his frustration with 76ers President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey, whom he labeled a “liar.” Harden’s comment stemmed from a reported unfulfilled promise of a contract extension.

Patrick Beverley, who once shared the court with Harden during their time in Houston, signed with the 76ers this season with hopes of reuniting with his former teammate. However, the likelihood of that reunion now appears minimal as Harden has requested a trade.

Speaking on the Pat Bev Pod, Beverley opened up about the situation. “I came to Philly hoping he would be here. It’s just an unfortunate situation,” he said. Beverley emphasized the importance of upholding agreements in the realm of professional basketball.

He continued, “That’s why you don’t mix basketball and friendship. That’s what kind of takes the heart and soul out of it a little bit. Like I said, I understand both sides as a player…”
