As reported by Brian Lewis of New York Post, the upcoming Monday (Aug. 14) marks a significant juncture for 30-year-old point guard Spencer Dinwiddie.

The Brooklyn Nets’ playmaker will officially become extension eligible, potentially paving the way for pivotal contract negotiations. The opportunity arises for him to secure a four-year deal worth a substantial $128 million, a contract that would underscore both his talent and contribution to the team.

Dinwiddie’s recent trajectory has seen him traverse through different teams. After being part of trades involving the Dallas Mavericks and the Brooklyn Nets, he returned to his original team, the Nets, on February 6, 2023.

Dinwiddie averaged of 16.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 9.1 assists in 35.3 minutes per game since re-joining Brooklyn.
