Michael Beasley’s NBA journey took an unexpected turn in 2019 when he was traded from the Lakers to the Clippers and subsequently waived just two days later.

Since then, the forward has found playing opportunities overseas, including stints in China and Puerto Rico, as well as participating in the Big3 league.

In a recent candid interview with the Boston Globe, Beasley shed light on the reasons behind his absence from the NBA. “If I had to answer that question [why I’m not in the league], I would have solved it a long time ago,” Beasley stated honestly. “But I don’t know. For me, it’s just staying in shape and being ready if it comes.”

Throughout his NBA career, Beasley showcased his abilities across 609 regular-season games, averaging 12.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 22.8 minutes per game.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his NBA future, Beasley remains steadfast, staying prepared for any potential return to the league.
