Euroleague fans will have the opportunity to see the venue which will host Euroleague Final Four in 2009. Alba Berlin signed 15-year contract with O2 World arena with the option to extend it 10 more years. O2 World is yet to be opened in Spetember. It will fit 15,000 spectators during basketball games.
Dr. Axel Schweitzer, chairman of Alba Berlin described the move to the new arena as an historic step for German basketball. It is expected that the new venue should attract more fans to the games and help promote basketball in Germany.
Although German clubs have been struggling in Euroleague, this could help to make a step forward.
O2 World is one of the most modern arenas in the world which offers great conditions to both players and the fans.
