The Wizards have bolstered their roster by signing 26-year-old Australian shooting guard Dejan Vasiljevic on an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Olgun Uluc of ESPN.

Vasiljevic’s journey to the NBA includes a successful stint with the Sydney Kings in the 2021-22 NBL season, where he played a pivotal role in helping his team secure the championship title.

Following his impressive performance in the NBL, he had the opportunity to showcase his skills with the Phoenix Suns during the 2022 NBA Summer League, and later with the Diamond Valley Eagles in the NBL1 South.

During the 2022-23 NBL season, Vasiljevic had a standout moment when he scored a career-high 42 points, including ten 3-pointers, leading the Kings to a resounding 118-102 victory over the South East Melbourne Phoenix. His consistent contributions helped the Kings secure back-to-back NBL championships.

Last season Vasiljevic averaged of 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. After opting out of his contract with the Kings, he joined the Washington Wizards for the 2023 NBA Summer League, showcasing his talent and earning a coveted spot on their roster with an Exhibit 10 contract.
