In a groundbreaking move, the Celtics have secured their star player, Jaylen Brown, for the long term, as he agreed to a five-year, $304 million supermax contract extension.

The historic deal, brokered by agent Jason Glushon, marks the richest contract in NBA history and guarantees Brown’s presence with the Celtics, per Shams Charania.

Bobby Marks provided a breakdown of the extension, indicating the progressive salary over the next five years, starting at $52,368,085 for the 2024-2025 season and culminating in $69,125,872 for the 2028-2029 season.

The 26-year-old forward showcased his immense talent during the 2022-2023 season, averaging an impressive 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game in 35.9 minutes played.
