Even though their rumored intentions of reunion didn’t materialize into reality this offseason, LeBron James will always be a fan and supporter of his former star teammate Kyrie Irving.

In a recent Instagram story, James approved a fan’s Twitter claim about Irving’s strong case for having the best ball-handling skills in the league ever.

James surely had that full and priceless experience of viewing Irving’s handling wizardry on a daily basis back in their union as the one-two-punch combo of the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2014 to 2017.

Irving’s scoring repertoire and flashy plays meshed up perfectly to the future Hall of Famer’s all-around wonders which fortified the Cavs to dominate the Eastern Conference and capture its historic maiden title in 2016. After three seasons behind James’ towering shadow, Irving requested to get traded and was eventually shipped to the Boston Celtics, and the rest was just written in the history books.

This summer, rumors broke out that Irving has lobbied James to join him on the Dallas Mavericks. Apparently, James remains locked with the Los Angeles Lakers based on his contract until the 2024-25 season, and the star point man just hammered that three-year, $120MM deal with the Mavs as an unrestricted free agent.

In the recent episode of his Hoop Collective podcast, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst echoed that amid their current circumstances, James remains interested to share the court with Irving as teammates.

Who knows what would happen down the line, but it would be gratifying to see a potential pact once again between the two stars of the association.
