According to Chris Fedor of Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cavaliers have expressed interest in acquiring small forward Miles Bridges, even though they face financial constraints.

Bridges, who received a $7.9 million qualifying offer from the Hornets, is subject to their right to match any offer he receives. Cleveland is thought to need to present a lucrative deal to dissuade the Hornets. Sources indicate that Bridges’ representatives at Klutch Sports anticipate a significantly higher salary.

It’s worth noting that Bridges, 25, was suspended for the entire 2022-2023 season due to a domestic violence incident involving his wife and children. Although his legal issues will result in a 10-game suspension for the upcoming season, he posted impressive numbers during the 2021-2022 season, averaging 20.2 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
