Mavericks rookie Dereck Lively II will team up with one of the best playmakers in the game, Luka Doncic. The 19-year-old center is excited to play alongside the Slovenian superstar and expects their combination to be very dangerous.
“It’s definitely going to be scary whenever I set Luka a good pick and he gets down the lane,” Lively said, via Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News.
“You don’t know whether he’s going to get a kick-out three or floater or get to the rim or throw it up for a lob. I know it’s definitely going to be a great way to just have fun on the offensive end.”
This past season Lively averaged 5.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 20.6 minutes per game for Duke.
