Of all the Philadelphia 76ers’ upcoming free agents, Shake Milton is the most likely to leave according to sources, per Kyle Neubeck of the PhillyVoice.

As noted by Neubeck, Milton is looking for an opportunity that will hand him an increased role and more court exposure. As such, this may change should James Harden potentially leaves after the assumed opt-out of his 2023-24 player option to become a free agent.

Milton started his career as a Sixer in 2018-19, and he enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2020-21 wherein he averaged 13.0 points, 3.1 assists, 2.1 boards in 45 percent shooting across 63 games.

But he wasn’t able to sustain these numbers for the next two seasons. Last regular season, he tallied 8.4 points, 3.2 assists, and 2.5 boards in 74 games. However, Doc Rivers didn’t insert him much into his playoff rotation this year as the swingman only appeared in six games and had 1.3 points average.

Milton’s four-year deal he inked worth $6.99 million in total is set to expire. It is yet to be seen if Philly will want him back, but with Nick Nurse now at the helm, the 26-year-old may have to gamble for himself to either consider returning or pick a new home to play.
