Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch has been super impressed with new veteran guard Shake Milton so far in training camp.
(via Minnesota Timberwolves):
Reporter: “What have you and Shake talked about in terms of his role?”
Finch: “I’m a big fan of his game. I just want him to go be himself. He can really get to where he wants to go with the ball, makes the right play. So far, has made the right play all the time, whether it’s shot, kick out, late play. So just be aggressive, be yourself. We have told him we would like him to take a lot more threes. He’s a really, really good shooter and he’s also really good with the ball in his hands. But I don’t want him to turn down his threes.”
Reporter: “Is this a nice I guess transition for him personally? He played with Joel [Embiid] & James [Harden], like just playing with ball dominant guys and being able to complement them.”
Finch: “He’s been in the league long enough. I think he really understands how to play, understands who he is as a player. I think he kinda just plays his game anyway. Obviously, he’s got to learn the tendencies of those guys. He hasn’t played a ton with KAT (Karl-Anthony Towns) & Rudy [Gobert] just yet in the camp, but he will. I could see him being a really good partner with Rudy in pick and roll.”
