The Atlanta Hawks have shown interest in acquiring Pascal Siakam, sources told Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports.

With rival teams monitoring the situation in Toronto, it is believed that the star forward is on the Hawks’ radar.

“One player believed to be on the Hawks’ radar of potential trade targets is Raptors forward Pascal Siakam, sources said, and Toronto marks another team front offices are closely monitoring for trade activity.”

Toronto is one of the teams at the epicenter of trade talks as they are set to decide about their impending direction moving forward. Fred VanVleet recently opted out of his player option for next year, making himself an unrestricted free agent.

With the Raps likely to enter the rebuild route, the Hawks’ desire to land Siakam is truly enticing as they are still looking to enhance their core which already features both Trae Young and Dejounte Murray. The Cameroonian All-Star is coming off a strong year as he averaged 24.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists last year.

Atlanta has moveable assets with John Collins as their focal chip to offer. It’s only up to Toronto if they will ask for more as Siakam has been their main man since then.
