The Raptors parted ways with head coach Nick Nurse in April after five years of him leading the team, including the 2019 NBA championship-winning season.
According to Eric Koreen of The Athletic, a part of the decision to fire Nurse was because Toronto’s front office was not happy with the lack of development of the team’s young players. That is what is expected from the Raptors’ new head coach Darko Rajakovic.
Nurse did not stay long without a job. He was quickly picked up by the 76ers.
