Nick Nurse’s coaching candidacy drew strong support within the Milwaukee Bucks, sources told SNY’s Ian Begley. But amid this, not all key stakeholders in Milwaukee were in favor of him.

Nurse, who was dismissed last April by the Toronto Raptors after their five-year partnership, came out as one of the finalists for the coaching opening of the team based on recent reports.

As such, he also made advancements as a candidate for the Phoenix Suns, with the Philadelphia 76ers also expressing their interest to hire him.

The Bucks are still looking to assess their considered top candidates after firing Mike Budenholzer. The franchise is set for a season of redemption and a new coaching regime in wake of their embarrassing first-round exit against the Miami Heat.

Nurse owns a great recognition around the league due to his impeccable adjustments and tactical coaching. He previously led the Raps to an NBA title last 2018-19 campaign.
