The Nuggets took a commanding 3-0 lead against the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals by defeating them in Game 3 in Los Angeles (119-108).

This win by Denver prompted Lakers legend five-time NBA champion Magic Johnson to publicly apologize the Nuggets.

“I have to apologize to the Denver Nuggets, they proved that they are a better and more talented team in their victory over the Lakers tonight. They put both teams in the Eastern Conference on notice that they are committed to winning a championship!” Johnson tweeted.

He also pointed at how Denver took Lakers guards out of the game, “Denver’s defense has taken Laker guards, Schroder and Russell, completely out of their games.”

Finally, the Lakers legend added that he sees the Nuggets going all the way this year. “When you have two superstars like Jokic and Murray play at a high level at the same time like they are unstoppable. If they continue that in the NBA Finals, the Nuggets will be world champions!” he tweeted.
