Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals included an altercation between Grant Williams and Jimmy Butler. According to the Heat star, it started after Williams made a three-pointer which gave a 7-point lead for the Celtics in the middle of the fourth quarter.

Butler responded in the next possession by forcing his way towards the basket through Williams. Boston’s forward fouled his opponent for and-one. From then on Miami turned the game around and secured the win to go up 2-0 in the series.

After the game Butler admitted that having opponents trash talk him only fuels him more. Clippers star Paul George shared a similar sentiment.

“That’s the thing about Jimmy [Butler], don’t let him talk his sh**,” George said on his podcast, via ClutchPoints. “He’s gonna feed into that, he’s gonna buy into the shi** he’s saying, and then there’s no turning back… He wants to be remembered as a winner.”
