Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant, both two-time NBA champions, faced off as the Suns hosted the Clippers in Game 1 of the first round series.

It was Los Angeles that came on top, led by game-high 38 points by Leonard. For his part, Durant led Phoenix in scoring with 27 points.

After the game the Clippers superstar was asked about playing agains KD. “It’s great. He’s all-time player right there, Hall of Famer,” he said. “This is just what it’s about. You have an opportunity to play great and you just want the opportunity.

“If it’s win, lose or draw, it’s about giving your best out there and you’re able to play against the best. Just got to keep having fun with it. It’s good, it’s playoff basketball.”
