The Thunder remained in the playoff race as they defeated the Pelicans (123-118) in the play-in tournament. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the winners in scoring with 32 points.

After the game he talked about how having many close games over the years helped Oklahoma City win in the play-in tournament.

“We’ve been battle tested. We’ve played in a lot of close games all year, for the past couple of years,” Gilgeous-Alexander said, via ESPN. “Even when the season wasn’t going our way, we played in a lot of close games and we have good habits and we know what gets it done down the stretch.”

OKC will now face the Timberwolves with the winner clinching a playoff spot in the first round series against the Nuggets.
