When it comes to MVP candidates, three names are mentioned the most – Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Max Strus thinks that Jimmy Butler should be up there for what he has done for the Heat this season. The 33-year-old small forward helped Miami earn a spot in the play-in tournament where his team will face the Hawks.

“Jimmy’s going to keep doing what he’s been doing all year,” Strus said, via Peter Dewey of Heat Nation. “It’s crazy that nobody is talking about him being an MVP with his numbers and what he’s done for our team this year. He’s been spectacular.”

Butler averaged 22.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 33.4 minutes per game during the regular season.
