Before the game, the San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was asked about potentially retiring and if he’ll commit to coaching the team next season.
“I got a game tonight,” Popovich said. “That’s all I care about. I don’t think about future, past, or legacy, I think about today and what kind of fun I’ll have this summer in addition to doing the normal – Las Vegas Summer League, draft, ping pong balls. all that kind of stuff. Travel, restaurants, walking through cities like New York, and you’re going to ask me about me whether I should retire.”
