As the season is about to end the MVP race is also about to be over. Raptors’ forward Pascal Siakam gave his take on who should win the award.

He went with a fellow Cameroonian Joel Embiid. Siakam admits that he might be biased in his choice, but he thinks that the 76ers superstar deserves to be the MVP.

“If I had a vote for MVP, it’s got to be my Cameroonian brother. It’s got to be Embiid,” Siakam said on The Draymond Green Show. “He’s been doing it for years. But this year doing it at an incredible level. He’s just playing unbelievable basketball. The team is winning, he’s doing it on both ends of the floor.

“And I’m sure there’s a lot of other people out there that deserve it. Like Tatum and Jokic, all these people. But I think for me, obviously, I might be biased, but at the same time it would be awesome to se someone from where I’m from win an MVP.

“That would be crazy. It’s crazy inspiration just to know that this is really possible. And not only that. Not only that I’m biased, I also think that he deserves it.”

This season Embiid is averaging 33.3 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 34.7 minutes per game.
