There is a mutual interest between the Lakers and Austin Reaves to continue their partnership. The 24-year-old shooting guard will become an unrestricted free agent this summer and Los Angeles can offer him a four-year $50 million deal.

However, that may not be enough to keep Reaves on the team. Former NBA player Chandler Parsons thinks that the player has increased his value so much that there will be contender offering more than what the Lakers can give him. He predicts that Reaves will leave the team in summer.

That could be indeed the case. The player, who has been recruited by the Germany national team, himself admits that money will be a major factor when he decides on his future.

“Anybody that says we don’t play the game for money is lying… I want to make as much money as I can and be as successful as I can no matter where it’s at,” Reaves said on the PointForward podcast, via NBACentral.

This season Reaves is averaging 12.3 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in 28 minutes per game.
