Austin Reaves is on a roll. After scoring a career-high 35 points in the win against the Magic, he scored 25 points and dished out a career-high 11 assists in the win over the Suns (122-111).

The 24-year-old shooting guard usually comes off the bench but head coach Darvin Ham put him in the starting lineup for the Phoenix game. After the game, Ham said that it was an obvious decision.

“I think it was huge. It helped us off to a great start,” he said about putting Reaves in the starting lineup. “His ability to play downhill, draw fouls, score at all three levels, find guys, his ability to playmake.

“He was huge for us. He’s been huge for us all year. You mentioned last game, he’s in great space right now felling his game, locked in to what we’re trying to accomplish. I just felt like [putting him in starting lineup] made all the sense in the world.”
