Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards has a bold recognition for Joel Embiid following their one-sided encounter, 117-94 road win for the Philadelphia 76ers.

“MVP of the league… Most Valuable Player in the NBA. For sure,” Edwards on Embiid, per Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

Without the foot-soreness-stricken James Harden, Embiid took another major carrier for the Sixers, dropping 39 markers and seven boards to lead his team on the wire-to-wire Tuesday victory over the T-Wolves. Despite facing defensive stalwart Rudy Gobert, the Cameroonian superstar feasted efficiently and owned the star matchup with his 13-of-22 shooting.

Embiid, an MVP candidate again this 2022-23 season, was monstrous in the third frame, scoring 22 points to fully widen Philadelphia’s deficit and ultimately take the game with such ease.

“I take pride every single time I step on the floor, no matter who’s guarding, I feel like I’m unguardable,” Embiid said. “I want to show them that it’s not that easy to guard me.”

Upon another brilliance of Embiid, the Sixers will wrap up their five-game road trip with a 4-1 card, as they are set to go home and will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.
