Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul added valuable experience to its roster by inking former Turkish Airlines Euroleague champion Pero Antic to a two-year deal on Tuesday. Fenerbahce will retain an option to push the deal until the end of the 2017-18 season. Antic (2.11 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Atlanta of the NBA, where he averaged 5.4 points and 3 rebounds in 77 games last season, helping his team reach the Eastern Conference finals. Antic previously played for Olympiacos Piraeus, helping the Reds win consecutive Euroleague titles in 2012 and 2013. He averaged 6.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in 29 Euroleague games during the 2012-13 season – his last in the competition – and also won a Greek League title with Olympiacos in 2012. Antic has also played for Spartak St. Petersburg and Lomomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in Russia, Lukoil Academic Sofia in Bulgaria, Crvena Zvezda Belgrade in Serbia, AEK Athens in Greece and Rabonitcki in his native F.Y.R. of Macedonia. He helped Spartak win the Russian Cup title in 2011, lifted two Bulgarian League trophies in 2008 and 2010, also winning two more cup trophies – in Serbia and Montenegro with Zvezda in 2006 and in Bulgaria with Lukoil in 2008. He is also a member of the F.Y.R. of Macedonia national team.
