The Lakers entered the All-Star break with a convincing win over the Pelicans (120-102), a team that is currently eighth in the Western Conference.

After the game Lakers head coach Darvin Ham was happy to see his team win a game like this, calling it a quality of life win.

“I think it’s great, man. I call it Q of AL win, quality of life,” Ham smiled. “That would have been a long time to sit on loss. I’m happy.

“Everything we’re trying to do, everything we’re trying to get done when come back off of [All-Star] break. This is definitely a great step in the right direction.”

Despite the win, the Lakers remain close to the bottom in the West. With 27 wins and 32 loses the Purple and Gold are in the 13th place. Yet they are still within reach of the play-in zone.
