D’Angelo Russell returned to the Lakers, a team with which he began his NBA career, via a trade from the Timberwolves.

The 26-year-old point guard made his debut in the win against the Warriors. Russell started for the Purple and Gold and scored 15 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 6 assists.

In his first game the team’s newcomer got to play with Anthony Davis. LeBron James was out. Russell was asked afterward about his fit with the two superstars.

“I don’t know. I think it’s going to be an experience,” he said. “Obviously what they have going works. So for me to fit with them, I got to figure out how I can fit. I think that’s gonna happen over time and experience.”
