Jusuf Nurkic is set to be out for the Portland Trail Blazers until after the All-Star break due to a calf strain, the team announced Friday.

Nurkic sustained the injury on the Blazers’ 122-122 win over the Grizzlies last Wednesday, wherein he left the match in the first period and was ruled out to return.

His injury can’t be much more troubling on the Blazers’ intent to rise up higher in the standings with a 25-26 record. The big man is averaging 13.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game this season. He is shooting 52.4 percent from the field while going off 39 percent on threes.

With Nurkic out, Drew Eubanks is expected to gain additional minutes from coach Chuncey Billups to lead Portland at the five.
