Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Josh Giddey discussed rookie Jaylin Williams’ development after last night’s 128-120 home loss vs. the Golden State Warriors (averaging 10.0 PPG/7.0 RPG/2.5 APG/57.1% FG/80.0% 3-PT in last two games).

“He’s been great, been great. Starting to shoot the ball well, shoot it with confidence. We tell him, ‘If they leave you open, make them pay.’ He’s been doing that, so he’s been really good on that end. Offensively, when he gets in the high post, he’s a really good passer. I think that’s a really underrated part of his game, he gets guys over and makes guys better. Defensively, obviously an elite charge taker. He’s a great rim protector in that sense, not blocking shots, but taking charges, putting his body on the line. So he’s been awesome for us, plays the role he’s asked, and guys love to play with him.”
