The Lakers entered the second half against the Trail Blazers being down 25 points. Despite the huge deficit, Los Angeles managed to cut the lead and claim the win 121-112.

LeBron James led all scorers with 37 points. He also grabbed 11 rebounds. After the game he was asked about how the Lakers were able to come out in the second half and defeat Portland.

“It’s one of two ways you can go out – you can just lay down and get ready for the next game or you can see what’s going to happen in the third quarter and make a game out of it,” James said postgame.

“For us as competitors and our team and our makeup this year, we’re not a lay-down team. That’s just not the makeup of our club.”
