After nearly four years with the Wizards, Rui Hachimura could be setting sails to another team. Reportedly, several teams are interested in the 24-year-old power forward.

The Japanese international was asked by the media whether he has requested a trade since his comments can be read as if he feels unappreciated in Washington.

Hachimura refused to make a comment on the question about the trade request. “I just want to be somewhere that wants me as a basketball player,” he said, via Ava Wallace of Washington Post.

“And I want to be somewhere that loves my — likes my game, you know? … I just want to be somewhere that trusts, believes in me. Just I can be myself — that’s my goal.”

This season Hachimura is averaging 13 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 24.3 minutes per game. The former 9th overall draft pick has seen his role and playing time shrink since his first two years in the league.

He started in all games that he played during the first two years in the league and has only started 13 times since – zero this season.
