The Lakers ended up losing another close game – this time against the Kings (111-116). James Worthy, who won three NBA championship as a Laker, sees a problem that has been haunting the team all season long.

According to him, it’s a failure to executive down the stretch. Worthy thinks that Lakers head coach Darvin Ham needs to address it.

“That’s been a problem for the Lakers just about all season long – not being able to execute and get good shots down the stretch,” Worthy said on Spectrum SportsNet. “It’s very difficult, they load up on LeBron. We know [Russ], his attitude is to attack, but sometimes the defense collapses and they end up with a turnover or not even a shot at all.

“That’s something I’m sure coach Ham got to address because it’s happened several times – couple times in overtime, other game where they’re right there for the win – can’t execute down the stretch.”
