As the superb display of Nikola Jokic continues, Michael Porter Jr. didn’t hold back from expressing his legitimate thoughts on his teammate.

Porter Jr. believes that with how Jokic is maintaining a high level of play, the Denver Nuggets superstar could even manage to snag the next five MVP honors.

“I think Nikola could probably win the next five MVPs,” Porter Jr. said, via Mike Singer of Denver Post.

“Hopefully the voters don’t get tired of giving it to, who I think is, the best player in the world.”

In the 76-year history of the NBA, a three-peat in winning the MVP trophy was only made possible by Bill Russell (1960-63), Wilt Chamberlain (1965-68), and Larry Bird (1983-86).

Jokic, the reigning two-time MVP, is seizing his chances to attain this rare feat. He is currently averaging 25.3 points, 10.8 boards, and 9.5 assists in 61.3 percent shooting while guiding the Mile High City to the best record in the Western Conference so far at 26-13.

Winning the next five MVPs is truly a stretch in hindsight, but Jokic might be deserving to do that based on his impacts on the Nuggets and the histories he’s been making on a nightly basis.
