After missing over a month due to a fractured foot, Tyrese Maxey will make his return for the Philadelphia 76ers this Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans, the team announced.

Maxey was initially listed as probable to be active against the Pelicans, and this latest update only delivers an uplifting update for the Sixers. As such, coach Doc Rivers made it known that the third-year guard will be on a minute restriction.

Maxey has missed the last 18 games for Philadelphia. Amid his absence, the club steamrolled with a blazing streak and have won eight of their last 10 games en route to a 20-13 card – the fifth-best record so far in the East.

This 2022-23 season, Maxey is averaging a career-high in points (22.9), assists (4.4), and boards (3.5). He is shooting 46.2 percent from the field in 36.4 minutes played in 15 games.
