Zion Williamson dropped career-high 43 points, leading the Pelicans to a narrow win over the Timberwolves (119-118).

Late the in fourth quarter the score was tied at 116 when Williamson stole the ball from Jade McDaniels and finished the a dunk on the other end to give his team a two-point lead.

Minnesota’s point guard D’Angelo Russell thought the steal was a foul and that the referees allowed Zion to play physical while at the same time protected the Pelicans star from the Timberwolves defenders.

“He ran through my guy, took the ball. He’s playing football, we playing basketball. We can’t touch him or guard him. So, good for him,” Russell said after the game, per ClutchPoints on Twitter.
